How to Make a Film
Here you can find out about everything you need to know about making your film.
We have found some great websites that you may want to check out, Making the Film, The Co-operative Young Filmmakers and BBC Blast which also has a great dictionary of filmmaking terms.
Finding a filmmaker
You may want to find a local filmmaker to work with. Throughout the UK there are Regional Screen Agencies (RSAs) that have lists of filmmakers, click here link to list of RSA contacts for more details or call the First Light Movies office on 0121 753 4866 for help getting on the right track.
Going it alone
Or we have put together information about the four main areas of filmmaking:
1. Pre-production
This is when you work out the idea and get planning.
2. Production
Filming and getting the thing made
3. Post-production
Editing it all together so it makes sense.
4. Distribution
What’s the use in a film if nobody sees it? Young people are writing, producing, directing; trying to do something positive.
