Get Involved / As a Filmmaker
Are you a young filmmaker aged under 18?
If you want to get involved with film and start making your own movies then we suggest approaching local filmmaking groups or talk to your school. Unfortunately First Light Movies cannot make grants to individual people directly, but if you are part of an organisation you can apply to us for funding.
Filmmaking might not be an activity your school or youth group has considered running before, so try approaching a teacher or youth worker with your ideas. Point them in the direction of this website to find out more about the First Light Movies scheme so you can get up and running!
If you still want to go it alone then why not click here and take advantage of our How to Make a Film Section.

Are you an industry filmmaker?
Did you know that there are lots of opportunities for filmmakers to broaden their filmmaking and artistic skills – and earn a crust in the process – by learning to work with young people helping them make short film projects? Can you inspire tomorrow's filmmakers? First Light Movies is always on the hunt for professional filmmakers to help steer future projects.
If you're interested in finding out more about our work or becoming part of a First Light Movies project please contact us on 0121 753 4866 or e-mail over your CV to info@firstlightmovies.com
